The ritual

Throwing stones into the ocean is an activity a lot people have done at some point of their life, if not just to release energy and let out some steam, then maybe just to see the stone explode into the surface creating a big splash rising into the air. I shot this phenomenon with serial photographs and discovered a pattern of aesthetic movement, like a dance or prayer.

This ritual is perhaps a journey or a process of movement, terraforming by throwing rocks into the sea in an attempt to move land. Or just getting back at nature smashing stones violently into the water where all life arrived from.
